It's Getting Hot Out There
07/31/2023
Announcer: Welcome to another juice session with big J and the juice introducing your hosts First best known for his work in the buffet Lifestyle circuit, it's big J then best known as Oregon's most secret Supernatural investigator, it's the juice now join big J and the juice conversation already in progress
Big J: All right.
Big J: Hey, so I don't suppose you gave any thought to a topic for today.
The Juice: I did not, unfortunately. Oh, man. Did you?
Big J: We had all these ideas at various points in time where we were interacting.
The Juice: No, we didn't write anything down just for us.
Big J: Yeah. So it's gone forever.
The Juice: All of that. We'll see. Maybe my brain can get somewhere.
The Juice: You never know. I haven't. As we go, I'll see if my mind gets there.
Big J: I got one right now. I got an idea. I'll do it. Hey, did you know that it's really hot outside?
The Juice: I have noticed that. Yeah.
Big J: Okay. So there was a chart in the there was a chart that had the sea water, like the global average ocean temperature, surface ocean temperature.
Big J: And it was like, they had, there was like a lot of years prior this particular year. was like off the charts hotter than other previous years. Yeah. In the article, they quoted a client's climate scientist saying maybe it has something to do with greenhouse gas
Big J: sort of a drag [00:02:00] suggestion
The Juice: that they did. Yeah. I don't know what to push though. All right.
Big J: Yeah I guess I don't really have anywhere to go with
The Juice: the topic. I just gotta factor it.
Big J: Yeah, you heard about
The Juice: Florida, right? I have not heard about Florida. What's happening in Florida? Let me
Big J: tell you about Florida.
Big J: In Florida, all along the coastline, the surface of the ocean is this 101 degree. What the hell? Yeah, like a hot tub temperature. Geez!
The Juice: It will be sweating in the ocean,
Big J: right? And all the all the coral that's in the shallow reefs like 100% of it has died. It's too hot. Yeah. So it already got bleached and or is dying [00:03:00] and or has died now farther down in the ocean.
Big J: It's not 100. But everything at the surface is pretty much cooking. They can't even get up without going through a hot tub.
The Juice: They're all in a tickle and jance, too. It
Big J: does, it seems alarming, huh?
The Juice: Yes, there is.
The Juice: But they have I don't know, what's the approach for something like this? Is there an approach?
Big J: Is there this, the solution would be to extract the greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and stop putting them there. But that would cost a lot of output levels. It would just cost a lot of money to do that.
Big J: Sure. That's not very exciting for people to be spending money on that long term, holding in place type gratification
The Juice: thing. No one really seems inclined to do yeah. It's
Big J: like [00:04:00] a slow motion train wreck. Or something that's going to be real uncomfortable in the near future.
Big J: Kind of like Blade 2049. If, I don't know if you're a Blade Runner 2049, do you watch that? I've seen it, yeah. Yeah, it was cool, like they had the feature and everything, but it was like this dystopian feature where... There wasn't any consideration of side effects and everybody had just left all the people had left the planet if, so they didn't have to deal with anything.
Big J: They had off world, they were saying like, oh, that's why you're not off world, like off world was the place to be. And so the earth was like the garbage dump where everybody was
The Juice: left. It did have that sort of look to it. Yeah. It was a cool movie, I thought. No, I like that movie. Was it is that the original theme [00:05:00] as well in the original Blade Runner or is that more specific to the 2049?
The Juice: Oh, I don't remember anything about the original.
Big J: Okay. So the original, it was like right in line with the original. So the original, they were a lot less focused on the effects of things. The long term effects of things they had what 1980s. What the a dystopian future from 1980 would have seemed right?
Big J: So they had, a giant PNM building and a giant Atari building. And all these holograms and all these CRT monitors. The awesome thing about Blade Runner 2049 is they just kept going with that. So they still have CRT monitors. They still have PNM buildings, they still have Atari buildings but then on top of that they have this Dirty Bomb, Las Vegas, they have a seawall in Los Angeles to keep it from getting, overrun by the ocean, which has now been [00:06:00] raised up as a result of, all the changes.
Big J: And it's, they got that general feel of all the noise pollution and everything from all the flying cars and all this other stuff. It was pretty cool.
The Juice: Yeah, I might need to rewatch that again. I don't remember some of the specifics. I remember enjoying it. I found it relaxing. Oh, yeah, it's worthwhile.
Big J: It's really worth watching both and watching both in sequence because they... Sequence, okay. Harrison Ford was involved.
The Juice: Yeah. I remember that much. I don't really find them at a hotel or something.
Big J: Yeah. And Vegas, bombed out Vegas hotel.
The Juice: Okay. That, that, that sounds from there. I can visualize it. And
Big J: you get the Ryan Gosling is a cop who happens to also be a kind of sort of a robot.
The Juice: It was, yeah,[00:07:00]
The Juice: that's one of the big reveals. I remember what, which one? He's he's a kind of a robot too,
Big J: right? He was one of the, I forget what they
The Juice: call him. He's like an enforcement agent for like robots or something.
Big J: They go and they look for, they're not robots. They're the, they're synthetic humans that.
Big J: Are not allowed, right? They become too intelligent. Are they robots or are they're just like straight up? They might be
The Juice: synthetic humans because there's a lot of human components to them. And it's almost impossible to tell that they are, I remember, because Gosling couldn't tell he was, regardless of the test they tried on him.
Big J: Yeah, they kept having to do tests to make sure that they weren't getting uppity. That was pretty much what their test was. [00:08:00] Yeah. And then they would basically just kill him if they got uppity, if they got, if they started having emotions.
The Juice: Yeah, because they killed a potential threat. They got to get to
Big J: them.
Big J: They had all these weaponized ones, off world. They, apparently they had turned a bunch of them into these super soldiers. That seems like the problem. Super soldiers, not so much that I'd imagine. Yeah. Yeah. The super soldiers keep coming back on you. It causes a problem.
Big J: Hey, yeah, it's a good movie though. I totally, I
The Juice: Alright, that might be
The Juice: on
Big J: the re watch list. What was the other movie that was on the re watch list? We had a... Seasonal? No, there were other movies that we [00:09:00] were just recently talking about. Recently?
The Juice: We were composing lists for a while. We went down a... We started, we watched like the Die Hards and we went down a rabbit hole.
The Juice: Oh yeah, that was good. Was it like related to action films of an old sort?
Big J: I think when you're referring to action films, you just mean films worth
The Juice: watching. My bad.
The Juice: I got too generated out there. I have one that I always put out there because it's good on so many levels. I'm all about blowing away. There's a movie called Blown Away. There is. It is. It's about bombs. I've never seen it. It stars Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones are like the big two. And it's entertaining, but it's also entertaining because you get to see Tommy Lee Jones try to do an Irish accent.
The Juice: It's a lot of fun. Wait. It's just a whole lot of fun. Is
Big J: it good for kids or is it [00:10:00] Ooh, for
The Juice: kids, I don't know about
Big J: that. Oh, we're
The Juice: talking about, are you talking about the movie education list? Okay, I can
Big J: switch to that. It would be my movie education. That's what that one would be,
The Juice: I think. Okay. I don't know if that one's kid friendly per se.
The Juice: There's a lot of bombs and a lot of people die. Okay.
Big J: I think that's worth checking out. I think that's got to happen.
The Juice: Oh, that's cool. It's a good time. I recommend. Love that movie. Wow, that's exciting.
Big J: Look at that. Yeah.
The Juice: What a nugget. Yeah, you really could see Tom Lee Jones flex his acting local
The Juice: Okay, good. Instead of just being a marsh, he's a man. You should probably just play on from the south or just not be there. He's got his niche and he's so good at it, but outside of it, eh, he gets a little fishy. Alright,[00:11:00]
The Juice: so movie education for the kids. I probably that more.
Big J: That one's going on the list, not for the kids. That one's going on the list for me.
The Juice: Sure. That's on our list. Okay. You know the dog? They didn't like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy very much, so that kind of, I don't know. It helped shape the picture a little
Big J: more.
Big J: They don't 100% like sci fi. That's what
The Juice: I figured out. That's a bummer, man.
Big J: We'll figure it out. Maybe they'll come around. The dog, let me tell you about the dog, okay? The dog needed... What does Azula
The Juice: do now?
Big J: She needed dental work. Azula? Yeah, she needed to, apparently because, us humans, we brush our teeth all the time, but dogs don't do that.
Big J: They start developing all kinds of tartar
The Juice: and insects. Yeah, you gotta do that. My mom brushes Tessa's teeth fairly often, I'd say, almost every night. If she can't, if not, [00:12:00] it's like she has a dog bone that's supposed to help with that or something. They
Big J: told us to do that as well. And sure, we're doing it.
Big J: But even I guess there's a buildup of tartar that our dog is genetically predisposed. What? Yeah, so we have to take the dog in to get the tartar removed to the dentist. But Yeah. Here's
the
Big J: thing with the dog. Just doing a normal dental cleaning is a big operation because they don't want to get bit.
The Juice: So you got to put her under, or?
Big J: Exactly. They, general anesthesia just to clean her teeth. Wow. Yeah. So I took her over to the, to a place and got her all, her teeth all cleaned, which by the way, they look crazy clean compared to what they looked like before.
The Juice: Weird. Whoa.
Big J: Yeah, she got all white teeth now.
Big J: But [00:13:00] yeah, I just was surprised, what was involved with that. My other dog, I never did any of that. I didn't, it never came up a tartar or anything. I feel like it's
The Juice: almost a newer now. I never heard of any of that stuff anymore.
Big J: I think Tess might have
The Juice: had cracked teeth. She had to have work done on her.
The Juice: She'll still let you do whatever you need to do to her because she's just a beta. But yeah. He got crowns and stuff. I don't know, man. I know it's like she would chew on like rocks and crap and like her teeth got chipped, but we really have to keep it on. She's a self destructive dog in a lot of ways.
The Juice: Yeah, I know, I'm pretty sure she had to get to work and then we looked at, there was toys I want to say that we looked at, whether she could have or not have and the whole thing.
So
Big J: she was doing some ridiculous stuff, huh?
The Juice: Still is, if you don't pay attention. She never stops. You just gotta keep an eye on it.
The Juice: She doesn't think anything will make her sick, and she'll eat just about anything. You gotta make sure she doesn't.[00:14:00]
Big J: I know about the carpet licking. Oh, that,
The Juice: yeah, she definitely does
Big J: that. Alright, that seems she seems like she likes eating things. She likes putting things in her mouth, yeah?
The Juice: Yeah, very sensory based. I don't know, she's a big, I don't know, does Azula dig lick sweat off you guys? If I'm sweaty, Tess will lick me until pretty much the end of time, because that's when it makes her stop. So like she loves sweat. I think she's a big suntan lotion fan too. Oh my god.
The Juice: Yeah man, she's like I was saying, she's a little self destructive. I don't think she gets sick from the sweat. I don't know about the suntan lotion.
Big J: The dog my dog does not have any interest in licking me or getting near me for the most part. She comes every once in a while. She'll warm up in the morning but other than that she doesn't wanna.
Big J: She's just not like that. She's cold. [00:15:00]
The Juice: Yeah, she's refined,
Big J: refined, cold ass bitch.
The Juice: Yeah, she's got a little princess mentality going on there. I
Big J: definitely get the impression that if anything bad was ever happening, as far as I'm concerned, she would take off. She's not going to stick around and defend me.
The Juice: She's time for a new family.
Big J: I'm running. This is scary.
The Juice: I've been on the streets before.
The Juice: I can do it again.
Big J: I think that's her first. Who is the survivor? There might be like maybe Athena. Come and defend, but definitely I can see that she would do it. And actually, after she came out of anesthesia, Kyle was messing with her. She was like, pretend growling at her.
Big J: And she that's the wrong approach. She turned around and the bitter, [00:16:00] like real life better. Yeah, she better because she's still drugged. She's doing it. Yeah. We're supposed to not excite her. She's growling at the dog. Not a good idea. What is she?
The Juice: She does like to do what she doesn't do, doesn't she?
The Juice: Yeah,
Big J: It wasn't a hard bite. It was just, okay. It was a, hey, what's up with, whatever you're doing, I don't want it.
Big J: Okay.
The Juice: You gotta keep an eye on that, man. You get in a lot of trouble if your dog bites, man. I...
Big J: Okay. She's still on drugs.
The Juice: No, I agree. This whole scenario, I get it. I'm just saying if it were to happen in another context, you gotta be careful.
Big J: I might have done it, you know what I'm saying? ,
The Juice: I was done.
The Juice: You've been thinking about it for years. You're tired, bothering you. You're like, God, damnit Kai, I will bite you[00:17:00]
The Juice: But not in the mood for this shit today.
Big J: She was, yeah, she, because she's never done that before. But she's, she was drugged, so Sure. She's still under the anesthesia right now. Now I'm, I think she's coming back, you never know. If it's hard to tell, you got to trust that the dog anesthesiologist
The Juice: know it's a whole different kind of world. I'm not used to that. It's a certain, I guess it's always risk, but I think it's pretty minimal. But how would you
Big J: know if your dog got brain
The Juice: damage? Oh, brain damage from an anesthesiologist. How do I possibly know? I guess you'd be like, notice their behaviors, right?
Big J: Yeah, 'cause that would be the kind of behavior you'd start seeing that the dog permanently never came back from it always seemed like it was a little bit irritable and asleep. [00:18:00] That would be the brain. Sure. Yeah.
The Juice: I imagine the zula show's
Big J: fine. I think so. I think she'll come back.
Big J: It just are people worried? We were worried. Anytime, some, anytime anyone goes under general anesthesia, that's life threatening. That's a little bit
The Juice: of a risk. True. I agree. And then,
Big J: I can't imagine the state of your business yeah,
The Juice: that was, I imagine it was okay. I think it was fine. Yeah, it should be. Yeah. Should be being scared of people and,
Big J: and maybe she just had a nice excuse to not inhibit herself from what she always wanted to do.
The Juice: Waiting for that day. She's give me a reason.
The Juice: I'm glad it seems like she's a kid. I'm glad she is. Yeah. And you're learning about the whole new world of dogs of dog health. Yeah. I've [00:19:00] never ever taken any dogs in the past of ours, but the dentist, I wasn't exactly a primary caregiver.
Big J: The first time we, okay. So her, the place where we normally go to the vet.
Big J: They're they originally said, okay, yeah, it's going to she needs to have her teeth clean and that'll be 1300
Big J: and I'm like, no, I don't like that. 1, 300.
The Juice: The money, man. I, your life, you're ready to get here. All the shops and stuff and all the other things, right?
Big J: Yeah. 1, 300 is quite a bit. And I had it in my back pocket. It was like, okay if I have to, but it's come on, there's gotta be a better way.
Big J: And yeah, we dug around and that's where I found this other event. Sure. It only ends up being like 200
The Juice: bucks. It was a little more reasonable. Yeah.
Big J: I think they had a dental day instead of bringing in a couple [00:20:00] specialists just for the occasion. Which I guess they had them all standing by and they cranked out a bunch of procedures
The Juice: at once.
The Juice: That's a good idea. Yeah
Big J: 200 versus 1, 300? Come on.
The Juice: That's just a great idea in that respect, but yeah.
Big J: I don't like the dog that much, to be honest. It's yeah, that's okay. Let's just leave it at that. I think
The Juice: they can crack and cause other issues, maybe infections, so there's components to it that can become more severe.
Big J: I have this vision also that they should just strap the dog down, right? You remember in Clockwork Orange, where they have. Yeah, man.
The Juice: Strapped
Big J: to the chair and they were giving him eye drops with his eyes wedged open and all that. Yeah. Yeah. So I had a picture of Azula strapped to a dental chair with her mouth cranked open and there's [00:21:00] somebody there.
Big J: Yeah, see that would be cheaper I figured because then they wouldn't need to have all the anesthesiologists and stuff and then they could just yank her teeth out while she's awake. That's what I think.
Big J: That's probably
The Juice: her, man. I guess you can give her stuff for that.
Big J: That's what I was saying is that it would be cheaper, but anyway, we went with the general anesthesia. It's not like they were just cleaning it,
The Juice: she would have been horrified. Are you guys going to start brushing your teeth or how's that going to go?
The Juice: You're probably going to have to, right?
Big J: No, we have been brushing her teeth. It, it, according to the vet, she's genetically predisposed to getting tartar.
The Juice: So is this going to have to be like a reoccurring thing then,
Big J: or? She said every three years we're going to have to do it.
Big J: That's
The Juice: not
Big J: a terrible idea.[00:22:00]
The Juice: Not like every six
Big J: months.
Big J: Yeah, six months would be ridiculous.
The Juice: Sure. Yeah, like they do with people. Yeah,
Big J: but since we don't bite right? Since we don't clamp our mouths down in response to somebody causing pain in our mouth, I guess it works out.
Big J: That
The Juice: makes sense. Are you at the office today or? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Big J: I'm in the studio.
The Juice: I caught it by the wrong name. Not bad.
Big J: Yeah. I'm in the studio today. I got the I got my, my microphone out and
The Juice: everything. And that's comfy chair makes it like official.
Big J: Oh, yeah. And the comfy chair too. I don't know that the comfy chair increases the professionalism, but certainly helps with the back.
Big J: Yeah,
The Juice: I think self care is professional. Really? [00:23:00] You're helping yourself be the best person you can be.
Big J: I think I learned something real productive today, and that is the movie Blown Away.
The Juice: It's a damn good time, that it is. I haven't watched it in a while, too, so it'll be good. You know what
Big J: we watched just the other day was the original Super Mario Bros.
The Juice: movie. Oh, God, why did you do that? I
Big J: hadn't seen it ever. Oh, no. And the it's, it was time for the, we were going to watch it.
Big J: We were going to watch it with the twins. It was actually better. Michelle said it was better than she remembers.
The Juice: He must have really hated it.
Big J: Dennis Hopper, he's always that same guy. So he was in it, but then it had, it just had the weirdest stuff going on. It was really great. I really, I enjoyed it.
Big J: The big break. I like [00:24:00]
The Juice: it. It's so bad. That lead actor blames it for ruining his career. Did you know that? There's a lot of stories about Super Mario, about the Mario Brothers movie.
Big J: Wait, which one was the
The Juice: lead actor? Yeah, he played Mario, I assume. I can't remember his name. He was also in Ufram Roger Rabbit.
Big J: Oh, yeah, I know that. I didn't realize he was in Ufram
The Juice: Roger Rabbit. Same guy. Yeah, same guy. He blames it for ruining his career. He has like a feud with that movie. There's a lot of issues with that movie.
The Juice: It probably doesn't help that it has nothing to do with the video game either.
Big J: Yeah, it was like this weird metaphor for, like they tried to make a plausible way of tying the video game concepts to
The Juice: [00:25:00] reality. Yeah no, it's not necessary. It
Big J: was, yeah, it was pretty, pretty, it was something. We had this dude, this other plumber.
Big J: Oh, it was good. I enjoyed it. Hey, I don't know what to tell you. I liked it. I saw the
The Juice: Barbie movie. Hey, man, you're free to like what you like, man. That is not one I particularly care for. Dennis
Big J: Hopper, he was like in Space Trekkers too,
The Juice: I don't think I've seen Space Trekkers yet. I think that might be on the one for me list.
The Juice: Okay.
Big J: Yeah, I'm not gonna say, I don't think it was better than Mario Brothers,
The Juice: that is not encouraging, man. It's not encouraging at all. But,
Big J: It was a movie. So sure I, that's really my
The Juice: main standard there. Okay. I'm going to keep that information in mind that do you guys watch did [00:26:00] you guys watch blue velvet? What's that? It's an older film about Dennis Hopper. I don't want to get the name of the director again. It's a, he's like a well known director.
The Juice: But he does a lot of weird stuff. Really? Sure. Yeah, David Lynch. That's the guy's name. But basically, Dennis Hopper in Mario Brothers is playing the character he played in Blue Velvet. Except Blue Velvet's about basically really messed up small towns. And maybe it's about how small towns are messed up.
The Juice: I could read you the the synopsis if you want.
Big J: I'm trying to think. Mario Brothers wasn't in a small town
The Juice: at all. It's not so much the small town part of it. The character he plays,
The Juice: how he plays the character is very similar.[00:27:00]
The Juice: Okay.
Big J: I, Dennis Hopper has one thing that he does I was watching. You get the speed vibes watching him and Mario Brothers he always has the same face
The Juice: and the same reaction.
Big J: Crazy.
Big J: Because he's, because that's what he does. He only knows how to
The Juice: do that one.
The Juice: Yeah, he plays crazy very well though. He really nails that part of it.
The Juice: It's a skill. At being a crazy looking guy. Yeah, pretty shine.
The Juice: Good old Dennis Bomber
Big J: guy. Wasn't that he happened to be in the blown
The Juice: away. I don't believe he is, but it would be very funny if he was.[00:28:00]
The Juice: Sometimes you forget. I'm pretty sure the major ones are Jeff Bridges and Tom Lee Jones.
The Juice: Yeah. I don't believe so. We just finished the first. You get Lloyd Bridges and Jeff Bridges though. We Maybe that's father and son. You got both the Bridges. Yeah, I don't think I have Bo in there.
The Juice: Get a full fledged like bridge family there.
The Juice: Yeah. Pulled up a picture. It's like Tom Lee Jones, smiling, but it's scary because he's Tom Lee Jones.
Big J: You brought up Jeff Bridges. That is that was from independence,
The Juice: right? Yeah. I don't believe so. He's not the president. Nah, that's a Bill Pullman. [00:29:00] Oh,
Big J: okay. Then I don't know the difference between a bridges
The Juice: and a Pullman.
The Juice: You've seen the big Lebowski.
The Juice: That's Jeff Bridges, man. No, he plays a different type of characters, a lot of different ways, but that is Jeff Bridges. No,
Big J: seriously. He looks a hell of a lot like a white old guy. So hold on Jeff Bridges.
The Juice: What was the other one that it was Bill Pullman that you're confusing? You think they don't look similar looking at
Big J: like to somebody.
Big J: I got two bearded old white guys that are the same age. Like this is very easy. No,
The Juice: man.
Big J: No. I don't
The Juice: know what you're talking about. No. They're pretty different. They
Big J: all look alike to me. Gotta tell you. These old white guys, I'll tell you. These old white guys,
The Juice: yeah. I don't know what picture [00:30:00] of Bill Pullman you're looking at, but he doesn't usually have a
Big J: beard.
The Juice: That's funny. I guess he's more recently does. None of the stuff I remember him from.
The Juice: Yeah, and not usually have one in Spaceballs or anything like that or Independence Day.
The Juice: Anywho,
The Juice: I gotta stop going down rabbit holes. I don't want to go down an IMDB rabbit hole. I'm gonna put the phone down. Gotta get on that rabbit hole. Man, you go down the rabbit hole, you're like, this person took this first, he was in this film, then he keeps going down the rabbit hole. So it is a good way to find a film that you haven't seen before.
The Juice: He's looking back there as you enjoy it, and then you just keep going down the rehab pool.
The Juice: Anywho...[00:31:00]
Big J: Yeah, I think we need to... You there? I think we should have a blown away night.
The Juice: I'm down. Or maybe like a bomb trilogy, almost, of sorts.
Big J: Or maybe if the speed is a bomb...
The Juice: Yeah, I was gonna say, you could put speed in there for sure. Is it the
Big J: twins need to see speed like that's a required right?
The Juice: So it's got I think so. It's not too violent or anything for them. I don't know what the line is that exactly.
The Juice: I guess if they see the fast movies, they should be okay.
Big J: I don't know if he read young adult books, but they're pretty.
The Juice: Is that the stuff they're reading right now?
Big J: They're past them. So let me give you an example. Hunger game. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was a young adult book. So it's you don't want to give them things to specifically emulate, but most of, that's the only benchmark in my mind, [00:32:00] is just not making druggies cool and stuff like that.
Big J: Those would be movies that I would try.
The Juice: So no big leki,
Big J: I would recommend it. I think like that would be an example of one or half baked or
The Juice: any, anything. I love half baked,
Big J: Drug use I think would be unwise in general until somebody's old enough to. Resist the pull of your pressure or whatever.
Big J: Sure. But on the other hand, I cool by your parents recommending it. Maybe that would be
The Juice: helpful. Yeah, maybe you're going to make it uncool. Interesting. Maybe that would work.
The Juice: I do at some point. They got to learn the expression to do to buy. Yeah. That's good. One.
Big J: It's so similar though. You guys, you're telling me they look a [00:33:00] lot of like different but I'm sorry. They look a lot. Alright.
The Juice: Bring it to Michelle and tell
Big J: me what you think. I'm like, what the heck? These guys are the same person.
Big J: I see that the rock and Rob Schneider. Have you ever seen them at the same time?
The Juice: I have not. I have not seen Rob Schneider in the movie in a long time. And that's OK. Okay, now I
Big J: got Rob Schneider in one, now I'm going to put The Rock in another window on my screen
The Juice: here and see if they look... You need to select the Merge DNA thing and see if they look like they had a chance. Yeah, you
Big J: put you put a wig on the rock.
Big J: You got Rob Schneider. That's all I gotta say. Maybe with like you can't see the chest and muscles and everything.
The Juice: So we're going just face. Just face [00:34:00] here. Okay. We're saying the cross over to Rob Schneider and Dwayne Johnson. Yes. It's a muscle suit. Okay.
Big J: And it's actually just Rob Schneider from the Adam Sandler
The Juice: movies.
The Juice: Okay. Okay. And
Big J: he is the same guy as the, former professional wrestler and now movie person, The Rock. Yeah. That's all I got to say about that.
The Juice: I guess a little bit.
The Juice: Not even a little bit.
Big J: Anyway, that's something I've got confused. See, that's where my head's at. I'll
The Juice: tell you. I don't, I'm not sure you can tell people apart, man. Similarities. Generally speaking. I
Big J: can see, you can't see the similarities?
The Juice: No, man. That one got away from me.
Big J: All right. Stay
The Juice: tuned. Hey, man. Different [00:35:00] opinions. It happens.
The Juice: All right. I feel like I'm seeing a Dwayne Johnson movie in a minute. Wow, he's got like a whole bunch of movies coming. All right. Yeah,
Big J: he got super into that.
The Juice: He was around a bit, but I don't think I've seen a movie from him in about a year or two. You go to IMDB and you look at like upcoming and there is, he's got 10 movies and pre production, development, or upcoming.
The Juice: There's a lot.
The Juice: He
Big J: was in, he was at the very end seeing credits for Fast X,
Big J: The new Fast and Furious.
The Juice: I haven't seen it yet, but I did hear that. I imagine it wasn't anything involving the diesel, but yeah, sure.[00:36:00]
The Juice: Yeah, they don't like each other, but yeah, i'm glad he came back to it though The series is better with a minute.
Big J: Oh for sure. He never was. Oh, he was out of it for one movie or More
The Juice: than that, man
The Juice: I don't think he was in one after 7. He was gone for 8 and 9. Was he there in 7? Actually,
Big J: I was reading a little bit about that, and I thought it was hilarious to find out Vin Diesel is this classically trained theater guy. It's super Is he really? Yeah, that's the, that was the falling out, was that Vin Diesel's Mr Mr.
Big J: Discipline, is classically trained like you can almost picture him. I never saw witness this, but I can almost picture him with an English accent. If you're actually doing an interview with he's a thespian. He doesn't say after I'm a [00:37:00] thespian or
The Juice: something. He's a Shakespearean trained actor.
Big J: Yes. I'm classically trained love of the and then that was the falling out was that the rock, you know He was too casual about his acting because he was from the professional wrestling school
The Juice: So
Big J: this is by what I imagined I don't know if any of it's
The Juice: actually true
Big J: That's what I read, though, was that it was Vin Diesel couldn't handle The Rock showing up late and being too casual or something.
Big J: Ah,
The Juice: I don't know. Provenance matters. People don't want to keep people waiting on you. Yeah,
Big J: That was their falling out, was
The Juice: it? That's a reasonable complaint. Professionalism.
Big J: Professionalism. Vin Diesel was the
Big J: I don't know. I don't know if any of us, I might've just been making all this up from reading that article.
The Juice: I have no idea, man. [00:38:00] I know they don't like each other.
The Juice: And when you turn this thing together, I bet they'll do that thing where they shoot it from like behind one of the actor's heads or something for when they're talking. So they're never actually in the same room together, yeah.
Big J: That's so ridiculous.
The Juice: I don't know. They might do it.
The Juice: You'll see like the back of some guy's head is like the rock and then you see the back of the diesel's head when you see the rock.
The Juice: It was a good one of those things where like they communicate through the phone, it'll be like. They're just reading their lines. So it'll go from one person saying something on the phone to the other guy. So they're never near each other whatsoever. Did you see FastX? I haven't seen it yet, man.
The Juice: I think it's coming to one of the streamers. So I'm just waiting for that.
Big J: Oh, yeah, it was. I saw it. It was real good. They brought back the [00:39:00] submarine and everything. Oh, man. All right. It's real great. It's like a soap opera of awesomeness that whole fast series. Like everybody goes back and amnesia, straight up,
The Juice: et cetera.
The Juice: Oh, they're using the amnesia plot lines now. Oh, wow.
Big J: You don't remember? They did that a long time ago. That was Letty. Oh, you're right. They did. It
The Juice: was Letty. They didn't even realize over here. They didn't
Big J: even realize. That was like movie four or something. I don't know. It was like really early. Yeah, man.
Big J: That's true. I forgot about that.
The Juice: That's some corny stuff, man. Luckily, they had the big booms to make it accessible.
Big J: It was very entertaining. I, it was great. It helped.
The Juice: Amnesia is not a common thing. It doesn't happen often.
Big J: Yeah. But as a plot device, how amazing.
The Juice: Yeah, right? The amount of occurrences in like film and TV compared to real life experiences has got to be just ridiculous.
Big J: Oh, man. We're going to have to do our we got a couple of movies we got to watch from our list blown away. And I got some I'm going to do with the kids there. But I think I think we should wrap it up. I think we covered some good topics here. All right. All right, I'm gonna, I'm gonna hit the unrecord button, but thanks for joining us.
